Agreement

By using candyarcade.xyz you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms, and the updated date at the top of this page shows when we last did.

What the site provides

Candy Arcade provides free, browser-based arcade games and editorial articles about them. No account, registration, download or payment is required or offered. Everything runs in your browser.

We provide the site on an as-is basis. We aim to keep it available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may add, change or remove games and articles at any time.

Acceptable use

You may play the games and read the articles as much as you like, for personal or educational purposes, and link to any page here.

• Do not copy, republish or redistribute our games, artwork, code or articles without written permission.
• Do not reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the games as your own work, or rehost them elsewhere.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or other people's use of it.
• Do not use automated tools to scrape the site at a volume that affects its operation.
• Do not remove or obscure attribution, copyright notices or advertising.

Intellectual property

All games, source code, artwork, game designs, names, descriptions and articles on this site are original works created for Candy Arcade and remain our property. The canvas artwork, character designs, creature designs and all game mechanics as implemented are ours.

You may take screenshots and share links freely, including in videos and articles about the site. What you may not do is rehost the games or republish the articles.

If you believe material here infringes your rights, the contact page explains how to tell us and what to include. We take such notices seriously and act on genuine ones promptly.

Your scores and data

Scores, favourites and preferences are stored in your own browser's local storage. They are not backed up, not synchronised between devices and not recoverable by us. Clearing your browser data, using a different browser or using private browsing will lose them.

We are not able to restore lost scores. This is not a policy choice: we never had a copy, because the data never left your device.

No global rankings

All records on this site are local to your own device. We do not operate leaderboards, rankings or any form of global score comparison, and nothing on the site should be read as claiming otherwise.

Advertising

The site may display advertising. Advertisements are provided by third parties and their content is not our endorsement. We do not control what advertisers say, and we do not accept responsibility for goods, services or claims made in advertising.

We will not place advertising over gameplay, over game controls, over navigation, or in a way designed to be mistaken for a play or download button.

Third-party links

Articles occasionally link to external documentation and other sites. Those sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and games are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, though we do try.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Candy Arcade is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including lost scores or lost time. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Games are entertainment only

The games on this site are entertainment. They involve no real money, no prizes, no wagering and no purchases. The candy in them is a fictional in-game collectible and nothing on this site is advice about food, nutrition or health.

Governing terms and severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Candy Arcade regarding use of the site.
